LDS Merit Badge Day

 

LDS Merit Badge Day will be Saturday, April 10, 2010, Whittier Stake Center, 15265 Mulberry Dr, $10, and open to registered Boy Scouts in any district & council. Packet/schedule is available by clicking below, and includes adult classes in Youth Protection and Merit Badge Counselor Orientation. Updated packet as of March 21 includes additional merit badge.

The Rio Hondo District Advancement Committee and Eagle Character Board are made up of a number of very dedicated volunteers from our communities.  Please contact them when you have advancement questions or need to make an appointment regarding Eagle Advancement. The Path to Eagle

If you are a Life Scout, or just about to become one, this information should be very helpful to you! Here are some helpful steps that should make your journey to the rank of Eagle Scout the best possible experience.

Get started and keep on track is key to your success. 

Requirement 1 -- Be active in your troop, team, crew, or ship for a period of at six months after you have achieved the rank of Life Scout. 

Requirement 2 -- Demonstrate that you live by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law in your daily life. List the names of individuals who know you personally and would be willing to provide a recommendation on your behalf. 

Requirement 3 -- Earn a total of 21 merit badges (required badges are listed on the application). List the month, day, and year the merit badge was earned. 

Requirement 4 -- While a Life Scout, serve actively for a period of six months in a position of responsibility. 

Requirement 5 -- Plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project.  

Requirement 6 -- Statement of ambitions and life purpose; hold Scoutmasters conference. 

Eagle Scout Forms

The Eagle Scout forms are available from your unit leaders.  Ask them for the Eagle Application, Eagle Project Workbook and Eagle Scout Guidelines for Scouts with Disabilities.

 

 


Merit Badge Lists
